WahanaNews.co, Jakarta - Industri alat berat berperan penting dalam menunjang aktivitas di berbagai sektor, antara lain konstruksi, pertambangan, dan kehutanan. Seiring dengan kebutuhan produk alat berat yang meningkat, industri ini turut menjadi penyokong pertumbuhan ekonomi.
Berdasarkan data Himpunan Industri Alat Berat Indonesia (Hinabi), produksi alat berat nasional sepanjang tahun 2023 tercatat sebanyak 8.066 unit. Adapun, permintaan terbanyak yakni untuk alat berat hydraulic excavator sebanyak 6.791 unit, disusul bulldozer sebanyak 727 unit, dump truck 513 unit, dan motor grader sebanyak 35 unit.

Guna mendukung peningkatan kinerja industri alat berat, Kementerian Perindustrian juga mendorong pengembangan dari sisi Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) industri. Salah satu langkah yang dilakukan adalah dengan memaksimalkan penyelenggaraan pendidikan vokasi dalam upaya mencetak SDM industri yang kompeten.
“Kemenperin juga berkomitmen dalam perbaikan serta pengembangan berkelanjutan dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan vokasi yang sesuai dengan tuntutan pasar kerja di industri saat ini,” kata Menteri Perindustrian Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita dalam keterangannya, Kamis (13/6).
Untuk meningkatkan kompetensi SDM industri alat berat, salah satu unit pendidikan yang dimiliki Kemenperin, yaitu Politeknik STMI Jakarta, telah menjalin kerja sama dengan PT. Komatsu Indonesia dalam upaya pelaksanaan program pendidikan setara Diploma 1 untuk program studi manufaktur alat berat.

“Kami telah membuktikan keberhasilan improvement dari alumni program kerja sama pengadaan kelas industri ini,” ungkap Kepala Badan Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia Industri (BPSDMI), Masrokhan.
Saat melakukan kunjungan pabrik di PT Komatsu Indonesia beberapa waktu lalu, Kepala BPSDMI yang didampingi Presiden Direktur PT Komatsu Indonesia Jamalludin dan Direktur Politeknik STMI Jakarta Amrin Rapi, turut menyaksikan presentasi dari beberapa lulusan program D1.
Keberhasilan improvement itu misalnya disampaikan oleh Sarni Mulyani, alumni D1 Batch 4 yang telah berhasil melakukan improvement dengan merancang dan membuat jig untuk handling pump dan stand khusus pump yang mempermudah proses pemasangan Main Pump Engine. Inovasi ini telah berhasil diimplementasikan di divisi engineering dan telah mampu menurunkan waktu proses dari 90 menit menjadi 80 menit (sesuai target).
